Enugu LG polls: APC candidate vows to attract dev’t to Awgu

Ahead of the 2020 local government elections in Enugu state, slated for February 29 by the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC), Mr Franklin Chukwu Ezeugo, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed to bring development to Awgu local government area (LGA) if elected council chairman.

In a statement made available to Blueprint in Abuja Monday by his media team, Ezeugo implored his supporters to intimate the electorate on the dangers of voting against his candidature as “his mission is to liberate Awgu from its deplorable situation”.
Stressing the necessity for the APC to win the election, Ezeugo assured his supporters of redoubling his efforts in ensuring all nooks and crannies of Awgu LGA understands his party ideologies,  “through strategic grassroots campaign and widespread consultations”.

“Ezeugo’s determination to salvage his people from hardship, underdevelopment and poor representation is his core mandate. He is one of the sons of a popular business mogul and a successful retired public servant, Chief Dr Frank Chukwu, who was a former Permanent Secretary and Director General of lands in Enugu State under the military regime.

“Ezeugo is loved by his people; due to his commitment and passion for humanitarian services to his people. His community development, educational services, healthcare facilitation and many other interventions have endeared him to his people,” the statement read.

Before his emergence as the  chairmanship candidate of the APC for Awgu local government election, Ezeugo lost his bid to represent Awgu South constituency in the Enugu state House of Assembly during the 2019 general elections.
