Enugu: Lawmaker praises Mbah over Nike-Ugwuogo-Opi road

Member representing Igbo-Eze North/Udenu federal constituency, Enugu state at the House of Representatives, Hon. Dennis Nnamdi Agbo, has commended Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu state for flagging off the dualisation of Ugwuogo-Opi-Nsukka Road.

Agbo who made the commendation said that the dualising of the road would boost the agro-economic potentials of the communities on the axis.

He also said that by flagging off the road dualisation, Mbah has thus “unleashed the potentials of our dear state and people.”

The lawmaker said: “I have received with extreme joy and gladness in my heart the news of the flag-off of dualisation project of Nike – Ugwuogo – Opi Road. I have personally confirmed that the flag-off is going on as I do this note.

“On behalf of the highly enterprising people of Igbo-Eze North/Udenu federal constituency, and indeed the entire Igbo Nsukka, I wish to commend our governor, His Excellency, Dr Peter Ndubisi Mbah for this transformational project which will greatly facilitate commerce, ease mass transit and evacuation of agric produce by our hard working farmers, as well as fight crime and criminality.

“Our governor has clearly demonstrated his uncanny ability to see and unleash the enormous potentials of our dear state and people. It is heartwarming to note that Enugu has suddenly become a frontline state and a reference point for transformational project initiatives.

“As an opposition lawmaker, I cannot shy away from this all important project without commending the governor, the government and the people of Enugu state on this milestone and pray that this project which is so dear to our people will be given all attention it deserves.

“I have hope to understand the full extent of the governor’s plans and see how we in the National Assembly can source and provide support. At the end, governance will continue to be about progress and the good of our people. Nothing more!”
