Enterprise agency trains participants on IPMA certification

Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA), in collaboration with International Professional Managers Association (IPMA), United Kingdom, and Entrepreneurship Promotion Academy (EPA), Nigeria, has commenced training of 25 persons in IPMA certification.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 2nd post-experience professional qualifying programme (PEPQP) in Abuja, AEA Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hajiya Aisha Abubakar, said the benefits and value
that will accrue to the participants will include a platform to become an international facilitator and global certified entrepreneurship manager.

She said other benefits of being an IPMA student, fellow or associate also include, access to international libraries, deductions in number of courses embarking on a master’s degree, wide ranging networking opportunity with world-class managers, and they could be called upon for paper presentation in any part of the word.
Another immediate benefit of the IPMA certification which made most of the participants delighted was the strong possibility for promotion in their various offices.

Hajiya Abubakar further said for candidates to qualify for participation, they were expected to have at least a first degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in any discipline, and they have to make a very flexible payment of not less than N250, 000 only to the AEA, as participation fee. A percentage of this amount would be sent to IPMA, UK whom together with EPA, are technical partners for the programme.
“IPMA UK is the one to look at the records, conduct examinations, which is mainly practical, assess their papers and act accordingly based also on recommendations from EPA.”

She urged the participants to be serious and show commitment to all parts of the training, as the intending international management professionals assignments, attendance and participation would earn them more marks than examination.
Few facilitators from IPMA, EPA and AEA who spoke earlier, separately but unanimously tasked the participant on commitment and maximum attention, and called on them to ask questions because marks would also be awarded based on interactive participation and attendance.
Some of the participants who spoke to journalists expressed delight at the prospect of having the knowledge and IPMA certification which would enable them achieve their dreams.
An administrative staff of Area Council Services Commission, Kenneth Joseph, said with his “passion, character and vision to excel” in his career, the IPMA certification would enhance quick attainment of his goal.
