Emnamu celebrates Bishop Mamza, distributes cash, food to 1,000 households

President of Emnamu Foundation, Dr Emmanuel Musa, has lauded the contributions of Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza to the Christian faith and humanity in general.

Dr Musa gave the commendation at the thanksgiving ceremony organised by Emnamu Foundation in honour of Bishop Mamza, following the successful completion of his tenure as chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Adamawa state chapter.

The ceremony witnessed the distribution of foods and non-food items to 1,000 households, mostly widows and physically challenged in the state.

The items distributed include bags of rice, bags of maize, vegetable oil, salt, pack of Maggi cubes, mattresses, 500 set of wrappers and cash donation of 50,000 to each of the beneficiaries to celebrate Mamza’s meritorious and selfless service to the church and humanity.

Speaking at the event, which was attended by people from all walks of life, including first class traditional rulers, religious leaders and political office holders, Dr. Emmanuel Musa said Bishop Mamza used his position as CAN chairman to better the lives of the poor, the less privileged and the downtrodden and therefore deserved to be celebrated by all.

He further explained that, the Emnamu Foundation has build 300 unit of houses for the vulnerable, which were distributed across the state the same way Mamza build houses for internally displaced persons (IDPs) among other interventions, such as renovation of schools, scholarship awards , employment opportunities and water projects.

Also speaking, the immediate past CAN  President, Dr Samson Ayokunle, eulogised Bishop Mamza’s leadership qualities and uprightness,  noting that the CAN national body needed God- fearing people like him to steer its ship and redeem its image.

Among the dignitaries who attended the occasion were the president of LCCM worldwide, Archbishop Fanti Filibus, deputy governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, Kwandi Nunguraya, HRH Kurhaye Dishon Dansanda 11, Adamawa Speaker, Hon. Bathiya Wesley among others.
