Emir, Agbaji community hail Ilorin scholar’s appointment as national Mosque’s imam

 

Arabic scholar and Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate, Dr. AbdulKadir Salman Solagberu , has been appointed as one of the Chief of Imams of National Mosque, Abuja.

Reacting  to the appointment Tuesday, the Emir of Ilorin and chairman, Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, urged the new appointee to utilise his new position to promote unity, peace and development as well as Inter-Religious harmony across Nigeria and beyond.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari described the appointment as impressive and honourable to the entire people of Ilorin Emirate and Kwarans in general. 

The emir, who expressed confidence in the ability of the erudite scholar to impact knowledge nationwide through sermons and other religious engagements said, “This appointment is a new dawn to us in Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large”.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, thanked the leadership of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NCSIA), under the leadership of His Eminence and Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji  Muhammed Saad Abubakar, for the honour. 

The emir urged the new appointee to utilise his new position to promote unity, peace and development as well as inter-religious harmony across Nigeria and beyond.
