Eid-el-Fitr: Ododo salutes Kogites, calls for love unity

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has called on the people of the state to embrace love and tolerance as a way of sustaining the unity and peaceful co-existence among the people.

This was contained in his Sallah message to the people of state made available to journalists in Lokoja the state capital on Friday.

The APC governorship candidate while felicitating with Muslims in the state on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr celebration, enjoined the people to extend love and kindness to one another in line with the spirit of the Ramadan fast.

He also called on the people to remain steadfast in seeking God’s guidance for their leaders at all times, adding that leadership requires God-given wisdom to succeed.

According to him, “… imbibe the lessons of Ramadan by extending love to one another irrespective of ethnic and religious differences. I encourage you all to pray for our leaders to succeed as representatives of God among us; and to refrain from any act capable of breaching the peace and harmony that we are currently enjoying in all parts of the state.”

The APC flag bearer commended the people of the state for their support for the government of Governor Yahaya Bello, promising to build on the achievements of the present administration if given the mandate in the November 2023 governorship election in the state.
