EHCON, 3DATX Africa collaborate on emissions in vehicles, generators

The Environmental Health Council of Nigeria, (EHCON), has collaborated with 3DATX Africa on decarbonization control measures to reduce emissions from vehicles and generators.

The Registrar/CEO of EHCON, Yakubu Mohammed Baba, made this disclosure during a one- day media dialogue which is part of the United Nations On Climate Change (UNNCC), in Abuja.

He added that decarbonization is aimed at improving the health of everyone, reducing emissions and saving lives.

Baba stressed that the essence of the vehicles and generators testing is to protect public health which is within the mandate of the professionals and council

According to him, this devices can measure 11-12 parameters at a go in a vehicles and generators.

“This new technology was adopted from Japan and these technology have tested in develop countries and Nigeria is the first Africa country to benefit from these technology.

“We need to collaborate with other agency so that we can tackle the issue of climate change” he said.

Baba further stated that all vehicles operating in Nigeria must pass through the vehicle emission testing by the company and over 100 vehicles have tested.

He noted that we can mitigate the effect of climate change by reducing the emission to the bearest minimum.
