Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Friday, May 31, 2024 arrested 40 suspected internet fraudsters at different axis of Abuja.
A press statement by EFCC Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, disclosed that 18 of the suspects were arrested at Dawaki axis, while the other 12 were arrested at other locations of Abuja.
He said their arrest followed credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet activities.
According to Oyewale, 23 phones, four laptops and four vehicles were seized from the suspcour.
He said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations was concluded.
