Edo government chides APC over ‘false’ recruitment claims

The Edo State Government has said that employment into the Public Service started since the outset of the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration and has focused on serving the people.

In a statement, Special Adviser on Media Projects, Crusoe Osage, knocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) for insinuating that the government was overburdening by employing more workers in recent weeks.

Crusoe said the government started engaging new workers across various spectrum of governance over 6 years ago, a fact he stated can be confirmed by civil servants in the State.

He added, “it is disingenuous to start claiming at this last minute that the government is now just only employing new workers to set traps for the new government.”

And we are unfortunately seeing a disturbing trend from the APC even before they assume government position.”
