Edo dep governor holds special prayer at new office

The deputy governor of Edo state, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has held a  prayer session at his new office located at No. 7, Osadebey Avenue in Benin City, the state capital.

Staff of the office, friends and family members joined the deputy governor in the benediction which held, Tuesday.

Reverend Fathers from the Benin Arc Diocese led the prayer session.

Shaibu said the benediction was to ThankGod for the past month of September and to commit the new month into the hands of God.

He also stated that the prayer session is a regular exercise since he assumed office as deputy governor of the state.

The state government allocated the new to Shaibu in September after he was evicted from his official office inside the Edo state Government House.

The development came at the time following a bitter political tussle with Governor Godwin Obaseki during which the DG asked Abuja Federal High Court to stop the governor and the state assembly from impeaching him.

Obaseki who at the time denied the allegation was said to have began avoiding physical contact with his deputy both in private and public.
