Eden Moringa partners Chinese company, to build $3bn factory

Eden Moringa Group, a company that specialises in the research and development of moringa in Nigeria, is partnering with a Chinese company Henen Lima Feed Machinery Manufacture Company Limited to construct a $3 billion moringa factory in Nigeria.

Speaking during the unveiling of the factory’s layout Thursday at the industrial layout Nyanya, Abuja, the Eden Moringa, group Managing Director, Dr. Ashimashiga Micheal Akolonga said when the Moringa production kicks-off, it would be Nigeria biggest foreign exchange earner.

He said Eden moringa group has entered into partnership with the Chinese manufacturing company for the construction, manufacturing and maintenance of machines for the production of its various products.

“In our agreement and the MoU or even most of the documents we have signed with them, they are here to make sure that they maintain this factory as long as the factory exists. They are the ones bringing in the machines. They are the ones that know the problems of the machines.

“If there is any problem there and our arrangement is that we are paying for their staff salary who will be managing those machines as long as we are in operation. So that is the arrangement that we have with them. So we’re not just doing for them to bring machines and run away. If they bring machines, the machines have any fault we can produce today. Our arrangement is that we will charge them for any delay in our work today.

“So that is why they are making sure that all their expatriates will also be on ground to manage these machines. In case of any fault anywhere and with all the spare parts, they are already on ground for that,” he said.

Ashimashiga who spoke on its moringa organic fertilizer, said it would be produced in larger quantity after the completion of the factory, adding that “We are here to tell Nigerians that the money they are spending on their farms using chemical fertilizer, they would get more results with Eden e-Moringa organic fertilizer, and you put half of it you get more than the best that you can put in for that chemical fertilizer.

“So we want to regain back our lost land nutrients as a result of synthetic or chemical fertilizers that have been polluting our environment and all over the world. A bag of our fertilizer, 50 kg is N30,000, 25 kg is N18,000, and above five kg is N5000.”

“We have spent 16 years researching and in producing fertilizer or any of our products here, so we are sure of the effectiveness of our fertilizer,” he said.

Also speaking, Henen Lima Managing Director, Mr Gatsby, assured the company would produce quality machines that meet global standards.

According to him, “As I mentioned, we have a China factory that can produce the quality parts of the machine. So at least we can guarantee because this is produced by us and we can guarantee that quality that is seen.

“Training of local workers on how to use, maintain to promote long life-span of the machine, and we have the spare parts that will arrive here in two days, and time he needs parts, we can supply immediately, and that is all promise
