The lawmaker representing Ikwo/Ezza South federal constituency in the National Assembly, Comrade Chinedu Ogah Tuesday commended Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state, for defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ayade recently has been under attack by his counterparts in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for announcing his decision to dump the opposition for the ruling party.
Speaking on Ayade’s intention to cross carpet, Mr Ogah described the governor’s decision as a bold step.
Ogah, who is the Chairman of Cross River State Registration and Revalidation Committee of the APC, stated this when he paid a courtesy call to Governor Ayade in Calabar, the state capital.
He further commended the governor for empowering the youths in the state as well as their inclusion in his government.
And however, urged the National Secretariat to work assiduously to ensure that APC as a party wins the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra state.
The lawmaker noted that APC has all it takes to win in Anambra State as well as clinch to power come 2023.
He enjoined other National Assembly members to work with the governor and stop perching with other parties in the state.
“It is better for the National Assembly members to avoid self deceptions and join the governor of the state and boldly eat from the main source than eating from other states as beggars”, he said.
