Ebira people in Abuja to showcase heritage, culture

The Ebira People’s Association (EPA), Abuja, has concluded plans to hold its thanksgiving and celebration of heritage to showcase the rich culture of the Ebira people.

A statement by the host, Ambassador Aishat Mohammed Sanni, Wednesday said the ceremony schedule for Saturday, January18 will be chaired by Senator Yakubu Oseni.

She said the day will be used to thank God for the peace enjoyed in Ebiraland during the recently concluded governorship election, despite initial fears of violence.

Ambassador Sanni said “Ebira residents in Abuja are happy to showcase our rich culture to the people of the federal city.”

He said the group hailed the emergence of Yahaya Bello as governor of Kogi state, urging citizens of the state to join hands with the governor to bring more development.

While commending the governor for his achievements, she urged him to do more in terms of infrastructure and security in the state.
