The Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaib Abubakar Audu, has felicitated with Christian faithful as they join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate Easter, which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The minister urged Nigerians to reflect on the essence of Easter which brings hope to mankind while urging everyone to remain hopeful in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to deliver on dividends of democracy.
This is contained in a message made available by his special assistant on media, Lizzy Okoji in Abuja.
The minister used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to continue in prayer for the peace, unity, progress and development of Nigeria and as well for the president and all other leaders.
“I want to congratulate our Christian brothers and sisters on the celebration of Easter, which commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ; a very significant event in Christendom and also on the end of the Lenten season which is also a time of sacrifice and prayers to God.
“Nigeria is a country loved by God and it is no coincidence that this year’s Lenten and Ramadan seasons fell during the same period. This season therefore provides opportunity for Nigerians, irrespective of their faith, to offer prayers to God for the betterment of our dear country.
“This past week, we have seen visible economic progression with our naira strengthening and other economic indicators improving. This is a clear indication that our economy is stabilising under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinibu and we are assured of better days ahead.
“Again, I want to urge Nigerians to reflect on the essence of Easter and show love for one another, especially the vulnerable and those in need, live in peace and harmony and continue to be our brothers’ keepers.
“Happy Easter to our Christian faithful and may the resurrection of Jesus Christ bring alive all our hopes and expectations as individuals and as a nation,” Prince Audu stated.
