Despite the brouhaha in getting entry visa for France , the national team ,the Super Eagles delegation departed the country last night for Europe ahead of Friday’s international friendly against Mali despite the fact that the Nigeria Football Federation is still battling on all fronts to get entry visas.
Top NFF officials said four officials including caretaker coach Salisu Yusuf have been granted their visas, while other officials are still on the waiting list for their visas.
Several holidaying players like Musa Mohammed, Brown Ideye, Elderson Echiejile and Ogneyi Onazi are expected to be part of the delegation from the country that will make the trip.
Nigeria face Mali on Friday in Rouen with kick-off time at 7pm.
The other match will be in Luxembourg on May 31.
Both games are aimed at preparing for the qualifying tournament for the 2018 World Cup, which will begin in October.
