…Eagles foes, Libya name strong squad

Libya coach Omar Al-Marimi has named a strong 23-man squad for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.
The Mediterranean Knights are in Group C along with Nigeria, Rwanda and Equatorial Guinea.
Top on the list is highly rated goalkeeper Mohammad Nashnoush who was in goal when the Mediterranean Knights won the competition in 2014.
The Al- Ahli goal tender helped the team through three consecutive penalty shoot-outs in the knockout stage, including scoring the winning penalty in the semi-final shootout with Zimbabwe in the competition.
Veteran defender Abdelrahman Ramadan Fetori, Saleh Tahir and Omar Arabi are also included in the team by Al-Marimi.
The Mediterranean Knights who played a 1-1 draw in a friendly tie against Jordan in Amman last week are planning to play another one likely to be in Tunisia before heading to Morocco for the competition.
CHAN 2018 will start in Morocco on January 13 and end on February 4.
