DSS parades kidnappers of Jonathan’s uncle

The Department of State Service (DSS), yesterday, paraded six suspected kidnappers of President Goodluck Jonathan’s uncle, Chief Nitabai Inengite, at the service headquarters in Abuja.
Parading the suspects, including 400 level undergraduate, Eldred Magnus Jonah, and a native doctor, Felix Onuoha, DSS Deputy Director, Media and Public Relations, Marilyn Ogar, stated that Inengite was kidnapped by unknown gunmen at Otuoke community, Ogbia LGA of Bayelsa state.
She named other suspects as Raphel Inengesi, 32, Ibeabuchi Inya, 29, Oreva Abridi, 29, and Tammy Tamarapreye Agbai, 29, an unemployed graduate of Accounting from University of Port Harcourt.

Ogar disclosed that Inengite was held in two locations within Bayelsa state, one of which was the creek of Brass, close to the Atlantic Ocean but was releases after 17 days following a security operation by the service.
Meanwhile, suspected members of a kidnap syndicate that had been terrorising young women in the FCT and its environs have also been arrested and paraded by the service.
“Following the development, security operators were initiated and the girls were released on June 17, after nine days in captivity. Subsequently, this service commenced arrest of the kidnappers.”

She said: “Ten of them were picked up along Kaduna Road in Tafa LGA of Niger state, Masaka in Karu LGA of Nasarawa, Itakpe by-pass in Okene LGA of Kogi state and Jos, Jos North LGA, Plateau state, respectively as well as Mpape and Kubwa in the FCT.”
They are Oyemire Asagba,29, said to be leader of the gang; Sunday Otse Attah, 30, 2nd in command; Zacheus Salami, 30, armourer; Victor Kingsley Bassey, and 32.
Others are Sani Mohammed, 23; Aragba Omuya Itopa Ademo, 33; Ojo Idris Gambo, 22; Haruna Asama, 38, Dikko Iko, 22 and Mohammed Adamu, 20.
