Dortmund set to offer Aubameyang to Chelsea for £60m

Tianjin Quanjin are ready to pull out of a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang amid concerns he wants to join Chelsea. Borussia Dortmund insist they have yet to receive a formal off er for the prolifi c Gabon striker but intermediaries are understood to have off ered Chelsea the chance to sign him for £60million. AC Milan also plan to hold further talks with the 28-year-old’s entourage as they continue to recruit some of Europe’s best talent in a complete overhaul of last season’s squad. Dortmund have given his agents until July 26 to fi nd a deal ahead of the Bundesliga club beginning their pre-season programme. Chinese side Tianjin are understood to have outlined a mammoth offer for Aubameyang which would have involved a £70m fee and wages of £500,000 a week. Aubameyang dropped a hint he may be set to call time on Borussia Dortmund career after posting a ‘mood of the day’ Instagram snap on the steps of a private jet. Aubameyang, who fi nished as the leading marksman in the German top fl ight last term with 31 goals, wore blue as he prepared to take a fl ight to an unknown destination. Antonio Conte is keen to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season having told Diego Costa he is surplus to requirements. Chelsea want a striker after missing out on Romelu Lukaku though Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata is still considered their fi rst choice. Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke and Swansea’s Fernando Llorente have also been discussed as a back-up options while reports in Italy say they have revived an interest in Torino’s £88m-rated Andrea
