Don’t overlook Baraje’s 7-day ultimatum, chieftains advise Buhari, APC

Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank and Chief Ray Murphy, advised the party and President Muhammadu Buhari not to overlook the seven-day ultimatum given by the leader of defunct new Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) in the ruling party. Frank, who is also the APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, said “if nothing is done as demanded to address the grievances of the nPDP members, “it will give impression that we are no longer needed in the APC.”
Recall that Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje had, on Wednesday, led a delegation on behalf of the nPDP block to protest what he described a “maltreatment and exclusion” of his members in the scheme of things by the leaders of APC. Reacting to the development in a statement signed in Abuja yesterday, Frank said Baraje spoke the minds of their group, adding that “it will be dangerous for President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of APC to give a deaf ear to “our grievances.” For him, Chief Murphy, who is a Senatorial aspirant in Cross River state, alleged that members of the defunct ACN had taken over the party. “ACN has taken over everything.
The head of government is CPC; the second is ACN and so many others ACN. So, the new PDP is very truthful and their grievances should be quickly looked into within the seven day ultimatum as we are already moving into murky waters. “My investigation shows that the new PDP who are members of our party are upset with the goings on in the party and they feel the party five legacy parties came together to build is been handed over to one segment of the party and that is the basis of this and I can tell you they should be taken seriously for the goodness of our party.”
