The family of the late Nollywood actor, Chukwuma Uchegbo, popularly known as Don Brymo, has revealed the arrangements for his burial.
As stated in the flyer released by his family, the final rites will take place on Friday August 25, 2023, after a ceremony at the Ezi-Ezenta Hall in Enu-Avomimi Enugu-Ukwu, Anambra state.
In a departure from the customary request for flowers, the family has instead requested donations from well-wishers to support the burial ceremony.
It is worth noting that shortly after the actor’s passing, the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), initiated an investigation into his death.
The 56-year-old reportedly passed away peacefully in his sleep.
In a statement signed by the AGN’s National President, Emeka Rollas, he noted that Brymo’s demise reinforces the urgent need for members to enroll in the AGN health management (HMO) plans to maintain constant monitoring of their well-being.
The statement read, “The Actors’ Guild of Nigeria is once again filled with sorrow following the sudden passing of Don Brymo, who was reported to have collapsed on a film set in Rivers State and subsequently passed away.”
“While expressing condolences to his immediate family, we have initiated a preliminary inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his death, particularly at the hospital where he was taken.”
