The medical doctors who performed a ceasarian operation on a pregnant woman while watching tutorials on YouTube at a hospital in Uratta, near Owerri, Imo state capital, are now on the run as law enforcement agents storm the hospital in search of the culprits.
According to the husband of the woman, Onyekachi Eze, “I took my wife to the hospital when she went into labour.
“The female doctor told me that she needed surgery and invited another doctor to assist in the operation. But to my greatest shock, they were using their phones to watch some tutorials on ceasarian operations from YouTube and in the process, I lost both my wife and the unborn baby”.
Onyekachi further said, on noticing the development, the doctors fled the hospital premises but that the owner of the hospital and some nurses were later arrested and taken to the police station for interrogation.
“What I need here is nothing but justice”, he pleaded.
However, as at the time of filing this report, the Imo Police spokesman was yet to make a statement on the matter.
