Disgruntled persons plan to disrupt election – Benue APC

Few days to the March 11 gubernatorial/assembly elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council in Benue Tuesday alleged there are plans by some persons in the state to disrupt the election.

A statement issued Tuesday by Director Communications of the Campaign Council, alleged that meetings were being held with   cult groups and other gang leaders by some people.

They are instructing and inducing them with monies to go out on Saturday and cause trouble.

He said evidence of the mischief and “do or die” strategies were in there hands.

He noted that though the council is not afraid of their ungodly plans, as law-abiding organisation, it shall forward the evidence to security operatives for necessary action.

“It is quite sad that these people, whose desperate machinations are akin to the miscalculated reactions of wounded lions, still think that they own Benue, and the people must always bow to their whims and caprices.

“It is an undeniable fact that since declaring for the number one seat in the state, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has conducted himself responsibly and maturely, going about his politicking with utmost decorum, even in the face of countless unprovoked badmouthing and invectives consistently thrown up from crude concoctions,” he said.
