Nigeria Youth Leaders Assembly has said that they would embark on nationwide survey to ascertain the truth state of the nation’s development.
Speaking with our correspondent at the weekend, the youth leader, Comrade Onyeaka Chilota, said the objective of the survey, scheduled to start from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), “is to go to the grassroots and find out what kind of federal, state and local government developments that are taking place in the communities and the country at large.”
“Our aim of this survey is reach out to people at the grassroots and find out what kind of developments has been put in place from the federal, state and local government. The people can tell us how far government has impacted on their lives. We are going to test run the programme from FCT before going to states, let the people tell us by themselves what the government has been doing for them,” he said.
Chilota said further prices of goods had started dropping and the people seem not to know about it that government is doing a lot, adding that they did not care to know what strategy government put in place to curtail this.
“We are going to find out from people that voted them into power, either good or bad they can be able to tell us.”
The youth called on FCT residents to corporate with their fact-finding teams that were going to go round for the survey mission, saying that they should be free to tell the truth about government’s presence in their communities.
