The Delta State government has wielded the big hammer by dissolving the management board of the state-owned football club, Warri Wolves and Delta Queens.
The dissolution was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Sports on Wednesday evening.
Warri Wolves is presently preparing to play in the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League season and Delta Queens is also gearing up to participate in the Nigeria Women Football League.
No interim management was put in place for both clubs, but the statement disclosed that a new management will soon be constituted for both clubs to reposition them ahead of the upcoming season.
