Dapchi girls: MMWG commends Buhari, demands release of Chibok girls

The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the security agencies for the release of Dapchi school girls.
The group in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, urged the president to use the same method he used in securing the Dapchi girls, to secure the release of the remaining Chibok girls.
Also, the group called for suspension of boarding system in the North East, pending the time the insurgents would be completely defeated.
“The release of the Dapchi school girls on Wednesday is cheering news and a relief to parents, guardians of the children and indeed all patriotic Nigerians.
“The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria commends President Muhamnadu Buhari on this achievement and call on the Security Agencies to henceforth put a halt to embarrassment of Nigerians by discharging their duties and responsibilities with efficiency and high dedication as well as commitment.
“What happened to the girls was disgraceful, nauseating and embarrassing, bearing in mind that similar disaster befell the nation in 2014 in Chibok, Borno state.
“With this development, hope is rekindled that the balance of Chibok girls will be released soon by the grace of Allah. We urge President Muhammadu Buhari to use the same method used to rescue the Dapchi girls to bring back the balance Chibok girls within the shortest possible time.
“We call for a halt to publicity being given to the trial of Boko Haram members arrested who are being tried at a Military formation in New-Bussa, Niger state.
“The security provided in schools in the North East following the fresh abduction of Dapchi girls should not be relaxed; rather, it should be strengthened.
“We appeal to civilians and indeed all Nigerians to be vigilant and report suspicious movements and actions to law-enforcement agencies.”
