A former special assistant to Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe state on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Abigail Wassa, has congratulated the governor on his recent victory at the tribunal.
In a statement yesterday, Wassa said Dankwambo victory at the election tribunal has confirmed that the votes gave to the governor by the majority of the people were in a free, fair, transparent and peaceful election in the state.

She described the tribunal’s judgement as “sound, credible and wise” saying the tribunal did a thorough job in examining all the issues brought before it by arriving at the verdict that upheld the re-election.
She said majority of the people in the state were satisfied with the judgement as the true position of the election.
According to her, “Dankwambo’s re-election is well-deserved and meritorious because the governor pursued people’s oriented policies and programmes, which provides dividends to the common man in the state”.
She called on the opposition to apply the spirit of sportsmanship by accepting the victory of governor Dankwambo in good faith and for all Gombe citizens to join hands in consolidating the gains of democracy in the state.
