Dangote Cement Industry on Monday recorded the highest loss at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), dropping by N1.50 kobo to close at N188.00.
Custodian and Investment trailed with a loss of N0.60 kobo to close at N6.20 kobo, Wapco fell by N0.25 kobo to close at N12.15 kobo, International Breweries down by N0.25 kobo to close at N30.00, May and Baker dropped by N0.11 kobo to close at N2.34 kobo.
On the contrary, Nestlé Nigeria Plc, led gainers table during the day, appreciating by N40.00 to close at N1460.00, Guaranty Trust Bank followed with a gain of N0.60 kobo to close at N34.70 kobo, Flour Mills Nigeria Plc added N0.45 kobo to close at N19.00, Berger Paint advanced by N0.40 kobo to close at N7.40 kobo, Dangote Flour Nigeria Plc grew by N0.30 kobo to close at N6.35 kobo.
The NSE trading result for the day showed that market capitalisation of listed equities increased by N18 billion to N11.493 trillion from N11.475 trillion traded on Tuesday,
The NSE All Share Index also appreciated by 48.23 basis points to 30821.80 points from 30773.57 points reported the previous day. Investors traded 359.091 million shares worth N4.828 billion in 3319 deals against 190.318 million shares valued at N2.925 billion in 3183 deals.
A review of the transactions indicated that FBNHoldings Plc was the most active stock during the day, accounting for 88.566 million shares worth N659.972 million, Zenith Bank Plc followed with account of 55.737 million shares valued at N1.270 billion, Japaul Oil traded 36.158 million shares cost N7.231 million, GTBank exchanged 20.879 million shares worth N724.496 million, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated sold 17.741 million shares valued at N248.307 million.
