‘Damaturu ultra modern market construction archives 10% in 4 weeks’


Its exactly four weeks to the commencement of the construction of Damaturu Ultra-Modern market, the contractor Euro African Energy, said it has achieved 10 per cent out of the total work.
The site engineer Mr. Odeh Okopi, disclosed this on Thursday in Damaturu while speaking to Blueprint.


“We have so far achieved 10 per cent of the total work.  The Down Proof Course DPC of the adminstration department and the Mosque have been completed.  I know when the DPC of of the main shops are completed the work will be faster” he said.
On payment, he said the company do not have any problem, saying Yobe state government was ready to release them funds as the work progresses.


The Yobe state government had signed contract for the construction of the Damaturu ultra modern market at the cost of N2.8 billion in which 30 per cent down payment was released.
The construction which commenced in early November 2019 is expected to be completed within 18 months.
The project when completed would accelerate economic growth, create job and encourage private sector to invest.
