Dalori gifts northern constituents N100m Sallah welfare package

The All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy national chairman (North), Hon. Ali Dalori, weekend in Maiduguri, Borno state, distributed food, rams, materials and cash gifts worth over hundred million naira to Muslims in select parts of northern Nigeria to mark this year’s Sallah festival.

Dalori who was supervised distributing of rams and cash gifts to various Muslim groups comprising women, youth and underserved also used the occasion to mark his birthday.

A statement issued weekend by Dalori’s special adiser on Media and Strategy, Hon Yemi Akinbode, said Dalori described this year’s Sallah celebration as a special and unique event in his life. He was described as one of the greatest grassroots politicians to have come from northern Nigeria and he used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to the welfare and total well-being of the common man.

The statement reads: “Today’s event is a special one for our people in Borno state in particular and Nigeria in general.

Today is also special for me because this year Sallah coincides with my birthday.

“I am therefore grateful to Allah for the opportunity to put smile on the faces of our people and my followers. Nothing makes me happy than having an opportunity to help and inspire people at the grassroots. This is what God wants us to do, we would not shy away from building the enthusiasm of the common man.

It is with great joy and happiness that I present to the good people of Nigeria my token of love and appreciation for their love and support thus far on the occasion of this year Sallah festivities, and in gratitude to Allah for giving me the opportunity of another year in the service of God and humanity,” he said.
