The candidate of Labour Party (LP), in the 2023 governorship election, Prof Patrick Dakum, has urged the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, to work with enthusiasm, commitment, patriotism and selflessness.
Dakum who is also the CEO Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) in a statement, congratulating Dr Nentawe on his appointment, Wednesday said the minister should emulate the leadership performances of ex-head of state, General Yakubu Gowon.
“This appointment is a grant opportunity for you to serve our fatherland with enthusiasm, commitment, patriotism and selflessness,” Prof Dakum said.
He added since the minister is aware that his ministry is the lifeline and exit route for the current poverty bedeviling the greatest population of Nigeria, he should make efforts at uplifting the lives of Nigerians.
“I adjure you to make Plateau and the entire country proud as General Yakubu Gowon, GCFR, did when he held sway to power and even more in bettering the lives of the citizens and serving the country faithfully.
“I sincerely pray that God Almighty will endow you with divine wisdom, strength, understanding, knowledge and sound health to viably pilot the affairs of your ministry with all verity and to bring the desired results,” he said.
Prof Dakum said, “it was with great pleasure that he heartily on behalf of himself, family, friends and Consolidation for Greater Plateau, congratulate Dr. Nentawe over his appointment as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.
