Cyclist kills Bauchi New Telegraph reporter

A reckless motorcycle rider on Wednesday killed Bauchi New Telegraph reporter, Malam Alhassan Yusuf, while crossing the road along Wunti area of the metropolis.

Elder sister to the deceased, Jummai Yusuf, explained that the late journalist was crossing the road near his house along Wunti Street in the state capital when a lad riding a bike in high speed crushed him to death.

She said that the deceased was taken to hospital unconscious where he later died.

Blueprint gathered that late Alhassan passed on at the age of 45 and left behind one wife and six children.

His remains was laid to rest yesterday. Our correspondent reports that before the accident, the journalist was hale and hearty.

Special Adviser to Bauchi state Governor on Media, Ali M. Ali, expressed shock over the demise of the late journalist, saying he had spoken with the late reporter last week. He prayed Allah to grant him eternal rest.
