CUP empowers 86 Imo youths with scholarship, business equipment 

A non-government organisation, Chidiebere Uduakommiri Foundation (CUF)has empowered 86 youth in Ngor Okpala local government area of Imo state, through provision of scholarship and essential equipment for business ventures.

Speaking during the presentation of the empowerment materials to the youth recently, Founder of CUF, Chief Okere-Onyeoma Chidiebere Christian, said the driving force behind the programme is to build strong and self-reliant communities.

He said, “We believe that by investing in education and entrepreneurship, we are not just changing individuals’ lives, we’re also building stronger, more self-reliant communities. This is the beginning of greater things to come, not just for indigenes of Imo state but for Nigerians at large.”

He said the foundation, known for its unwavering commitment to community development, is dedicated to creating lasting impact in the lives of youth, through holistic approach to providing them with the tools they need to thrive.

According to Mr.Christian, the scholarship programme which is the cornerstone of the foundation, has opened doors for promising students who otherwise might not have had the opportunity to pursue higher education.

He said the seed capital initiative is a game-changer for budding entrepreneurs through funding and mentorship, saying the foundation seeks to nurture business ideas and catalyse economic growth for the youth within communities.

Beneficiaries of the programme expressed gratitude for the life-changing opportunities they have through the foundation.

The beneficiaries received various empowerment materials such as hair dressing, barbing, fashion design equipment while buses were presented to the youth interested in commercial transportation.
