As part of efforts to end the political bedlam rocking Edo State House of Assembly, the Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) in the State said it was in touch with the parliament’s leadership to reconsider the suspension order placed on four legislators.
The suspended lawmakers included deputy speaker Festus Ebea of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and four three other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) legislators.

This was just  as the coalition condemned last week  stoppage  of Governor Adams Oshiomhole’s chartered helicopter from flying  by Federal government agents at the Benin Airport, declaring that the action was “an act of intimidation and political intolerance of opposition”.
The State chairman of CRPP, Dr. Samson Isibor who stated this at a news briefing in Benin City said the Assembly crisis has adversely affected social and economic activities in the state, adding; “It should therefore not be allowed to continue”.
He  however condemned the “the suspended legislators for breaking into the chambers and  afterwards carried out a mockery session without the mace”

According to him, the suspended lawmakers should  comply with the court restraining order pending the determination of the matter; because doing otherwise would a call for anarchy in the state.”
Isibor also berated the State chairman of  the PDP  over  what he described as “his inflammatory utterances, incitement and unsubstantiated allegations of the crisis against Governor Oshiomhole.
“The PDP chairman action shows the desperation and frustration of his party to takeover power through unconstitutional means; which they could not achieved through the ballot box”, he stated.
