Cross River Journalists set to stage maiden public lecture, awards

All is not set for the maiden edition of the public lecture and awards of the Cross River State Journalists Forum (CROSSJOF), Abuja Chapter.
CROSSJOJ is a collection of seasoned practising journalists in broadcast, print and online media platforms based in Abuja.

A press statement by the Lecture and Awards Planning Committee, Wednesday in Abuja, said, “The lecture with the theme: “Diversification of State Economy for Sustainable Democracy” will be delivered by Director, Maritime Services, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Paul Adalikwu.”

According to the statement signed by the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Ofem Uket, “Some distinguished sons and daughters of the state, who have made outstanding contributions to nation building, will be honoured at the occasion including the Minister of State for Power,  Mr Goddy Jedy Agba, Director General Women Development Centre,  Mrs Mary Ekpere Etta, and Captain Hart  Modey.”
He said the nominees have contributed in the development of humanity as well as the present administration’s drive for excellence and accountability aimed at repositioning the country in the committee of nations with its huge human and natural resources.  

“We, therefore, wish to invite all stakeholders to the event taking place on November 28, at NAF Center, by 5pm  prompt,” the statement said.
