Youths, under the auspices of the Nigerian Unemployed Youth Vanguard, yesterday, called on President Goodluck Jonathan to create more jobs for the county’s teeming youths, just as it welcomed his re-contest bid in 2015.
The group, which had been at the fore front of giving constructive criticism on the Jonathan’s administration, however admitted that it was convinced that the government’s efforts on infrastructural development and job creation were gradually paying off.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Ambassador Solomon Adodo, in Abuja, the group said: “As we have been quick to criticize when necessary, so must we not hesitate to commend when there are evident impacts of good governance.
“On this note, we have x-rayed the leadership trajectory of the Goodluck Jonathan administration on all faces of National development and we are elated at the fact that he has performed creditably well.”
The statement said “the factor of corruption which was the major bane of our development has been tackled headlong from the root with an increased attention to the audit and procurement process.”
