Some Football Association have already toeing the directives from the Nigeria Football Federation on cessation from all football related activities in the country for the next four weeks, as a result of the global COVAD 19 pandemic.
The board of the Oyo state Football Association, Edo State FA are the early birds to complied with the latest development though they are indications that others Association are on the verge of joining the temporary suspension.
In a statement made available to Blueprint sport by the Oyo FA, the Chairman of the association, His Royal Highness Oba James Oluyemi Odeniran hereby mandates all football activities in the state to be suspended with immediate effect till the next four weeks including all Sschools and local football competitions.
He advised all chairmen of Zonal Football Associations across the 5 Zones and 33 local Governments in the state, stakeholders and other members to adhere strictly to the various safety precautions and conduct as advised by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, such as hand-washing, the use of sanitizers and social distancing.
Oba James Oluyemi Odeniran also noted that anyone who refuses to comply with the directives will face the consequences from the board.
Also the board of the Edo state Football Association has wasted no time in complying with the latest development.
