COVID-19: FCT Police enforces compliance with the government directives

 

The FCT Police Command has said officers and men of the command are enforcing strict compliance with the federal government directives to contain the spread of coronavirus also known as (Covid-19).A press statement by the Police Public Relations (PPRO) for the Command, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, Tuesday in Abuja, said: “In compliance with the social restriction order issued by the federal government to contain the spread of Covid-19 (corona-virus), the FCT Police Command is working with the authorities of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) to ensure FCT residents adhere strictly with the government directives.

“While complying with the recent directives of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, on arrest and detention of suspects and adherence to necessary precautionary measures  against Covid-19 at all Police Divisions and formations, the Command wishes to avail FCT residents with the following Police distress call lines;- 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.

Members of the public in distress can promptly contact the Command Control room through any of the above mentioned distress call lines.”He said the Commissioner of Police in charge of the FCT , CP Bala Ciroma, has mandated the Command Medical Officer to embark on enlightenment campaign at all Police Area Commands, Divisions and the Command Headquarters to educate police officers and men on precautions to observe in order to contain the spread of Covid-19.
