Covid-19: Ansar-Ud-Deen wishes el-Rufai quick recovery, urges prayers



The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Kaduna branch has prayed for quick recovery for Governor Nasir el-Rufai, who tested positive on Saturday for Coronavirus, and other victims of Covid-19 in Nigeria and globally.


A statement signed by the Secretary ADS Kaduna branch, Bro Sheriff Olutusin, on Sunday called for intensified prayer from Muslims for God to end the scourge, while tasking Nigerians to follow the hygienic rule and guideline stipulated to ward off the disease. 
“Ansar-Ud Deen Society, Kaduna branch and the entire Muslim Ummah of Kaduna state are saddened to receive the news of the infection of our icon, the dynamic and hard working Governor of Kaduna state, Malam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai with Coronavirus (Covid-19).


“His Excellency has shown Kaduna state indigenes and the country as a whole, the leadership quality and commitment to protect the life and property of citizens of Kaduna state.
“We pray to Almighty God to heal you and protect your family as you go through the self isolation. Similarly we pray for the protection of all the citizens of the state from the Covid-19 scourge.
“Corona disease as no known cure for now but it is not a death sentence as it can be managed. Thus all hands must be on desk as citizen we must support and obey the government and work collectively to stop the spread by constantly washing our hands and observing high standards of hygiene, avoiding social gatherings and events, staying at home.


“As a Muslim organization we believe prayer is the bedrock of everything. We urge Muslims to pray for Allah’s intervention in ending the spread of the disease as we wish our Governor quick recovery and God’s protection for all the citizens,” the ADS Kaduna scribe added.
