The chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna state, Rtd Commodore Emmanuel K. Jekada, has described the Supreme Court judgement on the governorship election in the state as victory for the entire people of the state.
He spoke Thursday following the judgement Wednesday that the decision of the Court of Appeal saying the judgement reflects the collective will of the generality of people who voted for Governor El-Rufai and the APC in the last governorship election.
The party, he said, was not surprise over the judgement because it believes that Malam El-Rufai won landslide victory during the election, adding that all the cases that had challenged his victory were attempts to distract him from delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Kaduna state.
Commodore Jekada urged the people to support the government of Malam El-Rufai on his philosophy of putting the people first which can be seen in the ongoing urban renewal projects across the state.
Also, the chairman thanked the people for their support for the party as well as the nation’s judiciary for upholding the will of the people of Kaduna state.
