Council chair hails Zulum’s strides in Borno

The Executive Chairman of Bayo area council, Borno state, Alhaji Haruna Chibra, has commended the Governor, Professor Baba Gana Zulum, for his developmental strides in the state.

In a press release made available to Blueprint newspapers in Abuja, he listed some of his achievements as human capital, infrastructure development, and fight against insurgency and education.

Others are oriented and developmental programs like construction of ultra modern council secretarial in Bayo, housing development in the state capital and area councils, housing schemes in the area council and the building of Ultra Modern Market in Bayo and its newly built council secretarial in the state.

There were also trucks B and township roads, ultra modern market in Bayo council and 27 area councils, fly-over bridges in Maiduguri the state capital among others.

Chibra, who applauded the fight against insurgency praised the governor for procuring security gadgets to the security agencies and the local security agent CJTF (civil joint tax force) in order to combat the Boko Haram insurgency in the state.

The statement reads further: “The governor has impacted the lives, vulnerable and less privileged family in Bayo and other council area in the state.

“Construction of housing quoters in the council, secretarial ultra modern market, township roads in Biri hyle Bayo, the training of nursing and midwifery and the building of primary health care centers, dispensaries in the area council and quality health systems.”

He thereafter appealed to the federal government to construct the Biu- Bayo/ Gombe road to make dividends of democracy closer to the people.

Chibra also cautioned the youth of the state against flouting laws and order, shun drugs, and adopted entrepreneurship skills.
