Constituency projects: 200 firms bid for 90 Jigawa mosques

The Jigawa state government has opened tender for the construction of 90 Juma’at (Friday) and regular mosques in the 30 constituencies of the state.

The Chairman, Tender Board Committee and Permanent Secretary, (Administration & Finance) Secretary to the State Government’s office, Alhaji Muhammad Dagaceri, said this while flagging off the bid opening session for the contract award.

He was quoted as saying this Tuesday in a statement by the spokesperson of the SSG’s Office, Ismaila Ibrahim, and Issued to newsmen in Dutse.

He said the bid opening was for the second quarter of 2019, stating that 200 companies had so far submitted bid for the contracts.

He assured the bidders that the process of selecting the contractors would be transparent, fair and just.

In a brief remark, representative of Due Process and Project Monitoring Bureau, Engineer Ghali Mu’azu, assured the bidders that the bureau would be fair and just in the selection process.

Responding on behalf of the bidders, the representative of Danfatu and Sons Nigeria Limited, Malam Yusuf Saminu, expressed satisfaction with the bid opening process.
