Confab: Ilorin Emirate takes position on Land Use Act, power structure

The Ilorin Emirates Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) said it would deliberate on the emirate’s positions on issues to be presented at the forthcoming national conference this Saturday.

It listed the issue of governance, power structure, resource sharing, insecurity, poverty and land use, among others, as areas to be deliberated upon by stakeholders in Ilorin on Saturday.
A statement by the IEDPU National publicity Secretary, Alhaji Salihu Abdulwahab, said the union had scheduled a stakeholders meeting in Ilorin, Kwara state capital.

The statement said the meeting would be chaired by the former grand Khadi of Kwara state Sharia court, Justice Mutalib Ambali.
It said that papers would be presented at the meeting by eminent academics and opinion molders from which the emirate would arrive at its position.
The union urged all stakeholders within the emirate to attend and make their contributions to issues to be discussed.
