Company boss accuses former Air Chief Amosu of N50m extortion

Managing Director of Blue  Boulevard, Mr. Peter Osunde, has accused former Chief of Air Staff, Adesola Amosu of extorting N50 million.
The MD dropped this hint before the House of Representatives joint committee on Justice and Airforce investigating the alleged use of excessive force against the company over disagreements in the building of the Port Harcourt Mammy Market, owned by the Nigerians Airforce.
The Nigeria Airforce Holdings Limited, and the Nigerian Airforce Properties Limited, had in a contract for the rebuilding the market on a Build, Maintain and Transfer arrangement to Blue Boulevard, but the company said the project was halted due to repeated invasion by the Airforce.

According to Mr. Osunde, in most of the reported invasions, the Airforce extorted money from him, with the former CAS, Amosu collecting as much as N50 million. “I have never given five million to my father”, he stated.
When pressed by the committee to give further details on how the extortion was done, the MD declined and said he was no longer talking about it.

The hearing commenced on a dramatic note with counsel to Airforce Holdings and Airforce Properties Limited, Mr Duru Ibe, objecting to the hearing, unless Chairman of the committee on Airforce, Hon. Shehu Koko recused himself, over alleged conflict of interest, as well as being declared wanted by the ICPC.
The committee after meeting for about  an hour, however ruled him our, on grounds that ICPC acted in error, and had since apologised to Koko.
