The Assistant Inspector General of police in charge of zone one, Sadiq Abubakar Bello, say keeping the entire country save is the responsibilities of all Nigerians.

The AIG stated this in an interactive session held with officers and men of the police, various religious and community leaders, civil societies as well as other trade unions Wednesday at the Jigawa state police command.

The Assistant Inspector General of police in charge of zone one, Sadiq Abubakar Bello stated this while addressing police officers at Dutse police command as part of his two days familiarization tour to Jigawa state.

He said community policing was designed to check and eradicate all forms of crimes perpetrated within the communities.

He advised that in setting up community policing, there is no need to accommodate religious, tribal or any parochial sentiment but to promote and strengthen the community security.

he community policing is an initiatives aimed at creating partnership between security agencies and community to prevent crimes in the society rather than having tribal security outfits like the ‘Amotekun and Shege Kanfasa’.
