Resident of Kakindawa village of Maradun local government area in Zamfara state, Comrade Haliru Attahiru, has faulted the comment made by Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state on the recent abduction of 50 persons.
The governor had earlier debunked media report of abduction of over 50 women in Kakin Dawa village under Gidan Goga District of Maradun local government by the group of armed bandits last week.
Attahiru in an interview with newsmen stated that Governor Dauda should have made inquiry through the council chairman, councilor or traditional rulers in the area before debunking the story.
“It is quite unfortunate for the governor to debunk what he has not checked properly,in order to have the true information of what happened in the area,” he stated.
He added that residents of the area were responsible people who could not just for fun spread liars in order to tarnish the image of the state government.
