Permanent Secretary, Jigawa state Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Bako Muhammed Gangare, said series of training workshops for prospective retirees across 27 LGs were being organised to prepare them against life after retirement.

Gangare, who stated this recently in his office explained that “the workshops were organised purposely to achieve the desired goals as every civil servant has a time limit of service.”

He added “as one of the statuary duty of the commission to invite four prospective retirees from each local government to attend the workshop here in Dutse.”

“Though the participants have their own plan, but the workshop would alert them to design a concrete plan on how to effectively use their retirement funds adequately after living the service.”

He, therefore, said the present administration has embarked on organizing such programme through the use of competent consultants that would induce better skills for fruitful future of the prospective retirees in the state among others.
