Comets’ coach Ejeh dedicates NNL monthly award win to Abia governor Otti

Abia Comets’ coach Okechukwu Ejeh is full of praises for the State’s Governor after carting home the Nigeria National League NNL monthly award.



Ejeh who led his team to a four game unbeaten run in the month of December 2024 expressed his gratitude to Governor Otti for his unwavering support to the club.

He praised the Governor’s commitment to providing resources and infrastructure for athletes and coaches, which has significantly contributed to the team’s success.

The coach also thanked the club management, led by Chief Boniface Alozie Uche, for putting the club in a better position to produce good results.

Other winners, aside Ejeh, at the maiden NNL monthly awards included, Ebrima Manneh of Sporting Supreme as Player of the Month and highest goal scorer.

Godswill Utum Solomon of Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi bagged Goalkeeper of the Month accolade, Smart City FC emerged as the Best Behaved Team, while Aminu Mohammed of the Niger State Referees Council won the best referee award.

In their continuation of the NNL this 2024/25 season, Abia Comets will face Crown FC in a Southern Conference A Matchday 7 encounter on 25 January 2025.
