Coca – Cola holds campus career expo in UNIBEN

As part of strategic to develop a culture of academic excellence, the Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC) recently held a Campus Career Expo at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) to kick-off the 2016 Campus Career Drive.
The event witnessed a large turnout of students from different faculties, who interacted with top management executives from NBC, as well as learnt about the company and its well-loved brands.
Speaking at the event, the NBC Public Affairs Manager, East & Central, Mr. Ekuma Eze, said: “The NBC campus career drive is designed to identify and prepare young talents in different institutions of higher learning across the country and groom them to be business and industry leaders in different fields of endeavor”.
According to Eze, the NBC Campus Career Drive has provided a unique opportunity for undergraduates who were highfliers to start and grow careers in a world class organisation like NBC.
Also speaking at the event, Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Osasere Orunwense, represented by the Deputy Registrar, Harris Osarenren, commended NBC for choosing UNIBEN for the career expo.
He said students were privileged to benefit from the magnanimity of the company’s noteworthy gesture, describing NBC as a great place to work.
NBC Country Manufacturing Director, Anthony Njenga, said since incorporation of NBC 65 years ago, the company has continuously innovated and transformed its operations to a world-class business.
“The latest of NBC’s innovation is the introduction of a new hot fill line, the first of its kind, state of the art factory in Nigeria, producing 5Alive Pulpy Orange Fruit Juice. The new factory is part of its accelerated investment plan to double its production capacity by 2020”, he said.
