Coca cola FC Clinch Chairman’s final cup

Coca-cola football club Tuesday, won the 13th edition of the Kuje chairman’s cup competition played at J.T. Useni township stadium in Kuje, Abuja-FCT. 

Speaking to Blueprint in Kuje during the final match of the competition, the council chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo said he was happy to witness the closing ceremony of the Kuje area council chairman’s cup. It is interesting to note that throughout the period of the championship, there was no report of unruliness or hooliganism by the competitors. 

The chairman said the competition was free and fair, and commended the organisers of the championship for their efforts throughout the competition. 

He said it is hoped that people will continue to aspire to develop themselves in their football career as there is also handsome reward in excellence. 

He urged the competitors to learn from the teams and individuals that excelled in the spirit of championship, added  that people should always imbibe the spirit of accepting defeat with a view to learn from weaknesses as it is the surest way to stardom. 

The chairman of Gwagwalada area council and FCT ALGON chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha Dange, who was the chairman of the occasion applauded Kuje council chairman for engaging the youths in sport. He promised that, other area councils in the FCT will do the same.
