Ciroman Keffi: The gallant technocrat

In African traditional religion just like in Islam and Christianity there are rewards for good deeds and sanctions for evil deeds. It is in this context that people usually celebrate good deeds and rebuke evil by pointing out that whatever a person does usually boomerangs.
When I learnt that Salisu Abubakar Maikasuwa (SAM), the Ciroman Keffi, has been hosted and celebrated by his people I was therefore not surprised because he deserves it.

The reasons for this are not far-fetched.  He has really worked assiduously, especially rendering various forms of assistance to his people. Moreover, he respects them and ensures that his people are happy with his achievements.
He leads a faithful and honest life despite all the sensitive positions of responsibility he has occupied from 1991 to date from his days at the FCDA through to the Presidency and then as Clerk of the National Assembly.
Therefore, when I was told that the entire youth of Keffi in Nasarawa state recently hosted and celebrated Maikasuwa I was not surprised. The reasons for this are not far-fetched.

Maikasuwa has really worked hard to get to where he is now. But above all, Maikasuwa has carried his people along in his successes apart from assisting them.
The Ciroma Keffi is also worthy of celebration because he has over the years, through strategic planning, endeared himself to his people. He has done this by his honesty and hard work as well as his contributions to the development and welfare of his community thereby laying an enduring legacy that will further strengthen the

Abubakar Maikasuwa family.
